Lexus RC

Just because you’re tall doesn’t mean you can’t drive a small, sporty coupe. With this Lexus you get 45.4 inches of front legroom, which is impressive, if you stop and think about it. After all, the Lexus RC isn’t exactly huge, and it looks sleek. This is a case of looks being deceiving, but in a good way.

Depending on the engine, the RC can be a pretty spunky car. Just don’t expect too much in the way of refinement. That means it doesn’t handle like a BMW. It also doesn’t have the repair bills of a BMW. Still, it’s fun enough for most people to enjoy and worth considering as one of the best cars for tall drivers.

Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima

These two midsize sedans tied each other with 45.5 inches of front legroom. That’s enough to blow away all other vehicles in the segment. It probably isn’t coincidence these serve up the same amount of space, because the Sonata and Optima are from sister companies and share quite a few designs. Interestingly, they are both two of the best selling midsize sedans.

Before you think Kias and Hyundais are just crappy brands, check these two out in person. You’ll be impressed with the fit and finish, plus the materials used for the interiors. Sure, they’re not luxury sedans, but neither is an Altima, Camry or Accord.

Chevy Impala

Americans are tall, so leave it to GM to sneak another car into onto our list of the best cars for tall people. With 45.8 inches of front legroom, even extremely tall drivers can get comfortable in the Impala. The backseat is also pretty spacious, so you can bring along tall friends, too.

Don’t turn your nose up at this one because of past models. Yeah, the Impala used to feel like a cheap rental car. The sedan has shed that aura. Now, you can get a downright luxurious interior, complete with impeccable craftsmanship, plenty of noise insulation and cutting-edge tech. The new Impala really is the full package deal. If you don’t believe me, go try one out for yourself.
