Jason Unrau is an automotive writer with 15 years experience in the automotive industry. Based out of Winnipeg, Canada, he has always been around cars and car repairs from an early age. He is a Certified Technology Expert, and wants to share about his hands-on and service-advisory experience. Jason is a regular contributor to DrivingSales, CBT News, and writes blogs, articles and e-books for several dealerships and publications.
Aside from that boring stuff, Jason has a deep-running passion for cars. Past vehicles he’s owned include: 1990 Ford Festiva (a great first car, by the way), 1980 Mazda RX-7, 1968 Ford Torino GT 390 Special, 1966 Ford Country Squire Wagon (wood paneling and all), 1990 Chevy Silverado 4×4, 1997 Suzuki Katana 750, 1996 Suzuki GSX-R 750, 2000 VW Beetle TDi, 2004 VW Jetta TDi, 2002 Chevy Silverado, and a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander.
In the garage right now is a project – a 1988 Mazda RX-7 convertible receiving a widebody kit and turbocharger.
